Way of Living

My life is simple and straightforward, 
in it I give, not seek, living with ease, 
keeping my mind open with no grudges, 
and living each moment with awareness. 

I consider myself a voyager, 
traveling far and wide, 
I hold unto nothing, 
and see things with a bird's eye. 

The trees live silently giving shade, 
the sun exists to give light each day, 
the ocean provides home for the fish, 
and Mother Earth... nothing but abundance. 

Breathing in, I bring my parents in mind, 
Breathing out, I thank them for all kinds, 
Breathing long, I thank the sages, 
who set the path of freedom from the cages. 

What man needs is not money, 
nor is it fame, praise, or pleasure, 
he just needs to quiet the mind, 
and learn to be at ease with all things.
