Pain

Throbbing pain day and night, 
Swollen face, red eyes wide, 
A simple man sits alone, 
with nothing but headaches unknown. 

At a time, pain felt painful, 
but now pain is just chronic and shameful, 
there is nothing the simple man could do, 
besides take his medicine and pray in blue. 

He prefers solitude, since
the others mistake his appearance hostile, 
he wants to love, learn, and live fully, 
but he is hindered everywhere truly. 

This man never did wrong to hurt, 
he meditated and gave the little he had, 
he wished for others' welfare, 
and in turn nature only gave him despair. 

That man, despite his ailment, 
continues to work hard and give love, 
even when each moment his head hurts, 
he wishes only for happiness for others.
